Achalinus zugorum
Achalinus zugorum is a species of snake discovered in the year 2020 in the Ha Giang Province, Vietnam.[1] The snake belongs to a rare genus of snakes that evolved from trees. It is aesthetically described as dark in color or iridescent,with scales morphing from blues to greens.[2]

The species was verified by the journal Copeia by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Institute for Ecology and Biological Resources at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.[3]
