Club career

West Ham United

Odubeko signed his first professional contract with West Ham United in October 2019, rejecting the chance to remain at Manchester United[4] because he felt his chances of first team football would be improved at West Ham. He made his first team debut on 11 January 2021 replacing Michail Antonio in the 90th minute of the FA Cup third round fixture versus Stockport County, a match won 1–0 by the Premier League side.[5][6] After the sale of Sébastien Haller to Ajax in the January Transfer window David Moyes stated that he would be looking to give Odubeko further chances in the first team, saying "If the opportunities came along where I felt there was a chance to introduce him in some way, I wouldn’t be against doing so."[7]

International career

Ireland

Odubeko was born in Ireland, and is of Nigerian descent.[8][9] Odubeko represented the Republic of Ireland’s under-16 side in their successful 2017 Victory Shield campaign. He was selected to play for the Republic of Ireland national under-17 football team in two matches against Finland in March 2019.[3]
