Akatsi North District
Akatsi North District is one of eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Akatsi District in 1988. However on 28 June 2012, it was split out into two new districts: Akatsi South District (capital: Akatsi) and Akatsi North District (capital: Ava Dakpa); under the government by then-president John Atta Mills.[2] The district assembly is located in the eastern part of Volta Region and has Ave Dakpa as its capital town.
