Aksel Refstad
Aksel Refstad (19 September 1873 – 21 December 1956) was a Norwegian nordic combined skier who won the event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1900. For his victory that year, Refstad earned the Holmenkollen medal in 1901.
Career
On 11 February 1900 he crashed at the jumping world record distance at 36 metres (118 ft) on Solbergbakken hill in Bærum, Norway.[1][2]
