"Any Love" earned Vandross his fourth No. 1 single on Billboards Hot Black Singles Chart, and No.44 on the Hot 100.[1] "Any Love" also peaked at No. 12 on the Adult Contemporary Chart. Outside the US, "Any Love" went to No. 31 in the UK.

The song also garnered two Grammy Award nominations at the 31st Annual Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

- In 1990, Swiss pianist Alex Bugnon covered the title track on his album Head Over Heels.[6]
- In 1994, smooth jazz guitarist Norman Brown covered the song on his After the Storm album.
- The track was later sampled by rapper Foxy Brown for the album cut "If I..." from her debut album Ill Na Na (1996).
