Austral pygmy owl
The austral pygmy owl (Glaucidium nana) or Chuncho is a species of owl in the family Strigidae. It is found in Argentina and Chile.

Its natural habitat is temperate forests.
The abundance status of the austral pygmy owl is stationary throughout Chile, except in Central Chile, where it appears to be increasing despite being killed by locals because of its reputation as a bird of ill omen.[1]
