Awake in a Dream (song)
"Awake in a Dream" was the debut single by Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter. It later also appeared on his 2004 album, 219 Days. The song was written for Canadian Idol by Rupert Gayle, Adam Alexander, and Chris Perry, with the intention of it being the first single for whoever became the second season winner. Porter and Theresa Sokyrka each performed it on the show, and runner-up Sokyrka also recorded a studio version in case she won.
