Bangalore Central Business District

The central business district of Bangalore is the area with a diameter of 20 kilometers around Vidhan Soudha. This is the center of the City and core commercial area of Bangalore which was founded by Kempegowda of the Vijaynagar Empire. Most of the land is used by commercial establishments and the Indian Army with plans of skyscrapers under works. It has multiple high-rises including World Trade Center Bangalore and UB Tower. It also includes heritage properties like the Bangalore Fort and the Bangalore Pete. The Collection in UB City is one of the first Luxury Shopping Malls of South India. The land is expensive; Brigade Road is India's sixth-most expensive street and Mahatma Gandhi Road, Bangalore is the 13th most expensive.[1] It also houses many other high streets including Commercial Street, 100-feet Road Indiranagar as well as the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. CBD has attracted many tourists over the years as there are many facilities for them. Overall it is a simple business district with a cool and calm environment. It attracts many visitors on weekends. It has parks, government offices, many educational institutions, business houses and hotels, tourist spots, shopping destinations, stadiums, museums, temples, mosques, churches, art galleries and entertainment zones.
