Bar Louie Restaurants

Bar Louie is a bar and restaurant chain founded in 1990.[3][4] Bar Louie serves food, beer, and cocktails, from locations predominantly located in urban and suburban markets. As of 2021 there are approximately 73 locations, many of which can be commonly found in higher-end lifestyle centers, entertainment venues, and hotels. The company also awards franchises. Bar Louie is headquartered in Addison, Texas, and Tom Fricke is the company's chief executive officer. Sun Capital Partners is a major investor in the company dating back to June 2010.[5]

On January 27, 2020, Bar Louie filed for bankruptcy and closed 38 locations. It hoped to come out of bankruptcy within 90 days and stated that suppliers and employees would continue to be paid during bankruptcy.[1] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bar Louie closed an additional 22 locations.[2]
