Brankovo
Brankovo (pronounced [ˈbraːŋkɔʋɔ]; German: Brankou[2]) is a small settlement on the edge of the valley known as Mišja dolina (literally, 'Monks' valley'[3]), three km west of Velike Lašče in central Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[4]

Name
The name Brankovo is derived from an oeconym, referring to an isolated farm known as Branko that the village developed from.[5]
