Byurakn

Byurakn (Armenian: Բյուրակն); formerly known as Gyullibulagh Armenian: Գյուլլիբուլաղ, is a village and rural community (municipality) in the Shirak Province of Armenia near the Armenia–Turkey border. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population was 926 in 2010,[1] up from 781 at the 2001 census.[2]

Population

According to "Caucasian Calendar" of 1912, 1046 people, mainly Azerbaijanis shown in the calendar as «Karapapaks», lived in village Gyullibulakh of Kars Okrug of Kars Oblast.[3]
