CHNW's content is a continuous loop of emergency information for New Westminster. Long-time Vancouver broadcaster and Vancouver Canucks PA announcer John Ashbridge (also a member of the emergency advisory committee of the city) also recorded public service announcements that were heard on the station.[1][2]
CHNW is owned by the City of New Westminster and operated by the New Westminster Emergency Management Office. Technical aspects are handled by the New Westminster Emergency Telecommunications team of volunteers.
