CMT Top 12 Countdown was a music video show that aired on Country Music Television (CMT) that debuted in 1993 then in September 1994 it expanded to 12 videos with features such as pick hits, breakout videos and sneak peeks to emerging and upcoming artists. In 1996 the countdown expanded again featuring a few more extras and in December 2001 the show became the longer Top 20 Countdown. Each episode would countdown the top 12 music videos of the week.
