Career
Born in Geelong and raised in Echuca in regional Victoria, Nevins made her elite-level netball debut in the ANZ Championship in 2014 for the Melbourne Vixens.[2][3] Her debut at the Vixens coincided with a premiership that season and the vice-captaincy of the Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball League.[4] Nevins left for the Queensland Firebirds at the end of the season in search of greater on-court opportunities and ended up playing a key role in their consecutive premierships in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.[3][2] She earned her first national team cap in the January 2017 Quad Series and was also appointed vice-captain of the Firebirds that year, a position she held for several seasons.[2][5] In August 2019, Nevins announced her retirement from netball, effective at the end of the season.[6]
