Channa Jayasumana
Channa Jayasumana is a Sri Lankan politician, a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He belongs to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He is a physician by profession.
He holds professional qualifications MBBS from University of Peradeniya, PhD and FRCP Edin.
He has done research on drinking water, occupational exposure to herbicides and its association with chronic kidney disease.[1]
He held the position of Professor, Faculty of Medicine Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
He was appointed state minister of Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation in 2020.[2]
