Channichthys is a genus of crocodile icefishes native to the Southern Ocean.

Species
As of 2020, FishBase accepts nine species in the genus.[1] Some researchers classified Channichthys as a monotypic genus and recognize Channichthys rhinoceratus as the sole Channichthys species.[2][3]
The species of this genus are quite similar to each other, and reliable ways of distinguish them include the shape of their dorsal fins, gill raker count and relative eye diameter to snout length.
