Devasahayam David Chelliah
Devasahayam David Chelliah[1] was Archdeacon of Singapore from 1958[2] until 1967.
Chelliah was educated at the University of London and ordained Deacon in 1940 and Priest in 1941.[3][4] He was an Assistant master at St Andrew's School, Singapore from 1940 to 1946; and its Vice Principal from 1946 to 1961. He was Acting Dean of St Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore from 1943 to 1945. He was Priest in charge of St Paul's, Singapore from 1961 to 1970. He was an Honorary Canon of St Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore from 1949 to 1971; after which he was Canon Emeritus
