In January 2020, it was announced that Donkey Hodie will have a series which will air on May 3, 2021, and be redesigned as a more modern felt-faced puppet. The titular character is the granddaughter of the original Donkey Hodie. On January 28, 2021, the website for the show was released, along with the logo and theme song.[2][3][4]
