Elettariopsis smithiae is a monocotyledonous plant species described by Yee Kiew Kam.[1] Elettariopsis smithiae belongs to the genus Elettariopsis and the family Zingiberaceae.[2][3] No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.[2]

Elettariopsis smithiae is native to Malaysia and Thailand.

It is named in honor of Scottish botanist Rosemary Margaret Smith.[4]
