Eutropis gansi

Eutropis gansi, also known as Gans's mabuya and Gans's grass skink , is a species of skink, a lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to the southern Western Ghats, India.[1][2]

Etymology

The specific name, gansi, is in honor of American herpetologist Carl Gans (1923–2009).[3]

Geographic range

E. gansi is found in southern India (Kalakkad forest, Tamil Nadu state).[1][2]

The type locality is "2 km NW of Muthalar Road Cross off Sengaltheri–Thalayanai road (towards Moolakasam), Kalakkad Tiger Reserve, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu State, India".[4]
