FC Cheksyl Chernihiv

FC Cheksyl Chernihiv (Russian: ФК Чексил Чернигов) is a Ukrainian football club was established in 1983 as a team of local clothing factory "Cheksil" during the USSR and it was defunted in 1997. The team also proceduced players like Oleksandr Hrytsay, Ihor Bobovych[1] and Oleh Hrytsai from Chernihiv.[2]

History

Origin as Tekstylschyk Chernihiv

In 1983 the team was established in 1983 as "Tekstylschyk Chernihiv"[3] and also Chernihiv Oblast Football Cup in 1984.[4][5]In 1989, the team also had the player Hennadiy Horshkov, that played also for Desna Chernihiv and it was facing the most winning club FC Khimik Chernihiv.

Changed name as FC Cheksyl Chernihiv

In 1992 the team changed name from Tekstylschyk Chernihiv to FC Cheksyl Chernihiv and in 1992 the team won again the Chernihiv Oblast Football Championship.[6] in the summer time 1992, the club signed the Oleh Hrytsai and in 1994 the club signed for one season Oleksandr Hrytsay and in 1997 the team won the third Chernihiv Oblast Football Championship.[7] The team in Ukrainian Football Amateur League in the season 1992–93 in Group 5 the team got 8th place in the league and in the season 1994–95 in Group 3 the team got 4th and 8th place, in the season 1994–95 in Group 3 the team got 8th place in the league. In 1999 it was the last season that the team played before be withdraw.[8]

Facilities & Venue

The team played in the Stadium Tekstylschyk, located in Ushinsky, novozavodsky, district, just beside Cheksil factory 2-3 km by the Chernihiv Ovruch railway and the Monument to Soldiers Liberators in Victory Square. The stadium was used by the female football club WFC Lehenda-ShVSM Chernihiv.[9][10][11]
