History

Fox Entertainment was formed in 2019 after Fox's television studio, 20th Century Fox Television (among other studios), were acquired by Disney.[2] It currently serves as Fox's television production arm.

On August 6, 2019, the studio acquired the animation studio Bento Box Entertainment.[3]

In April 2020, Fox Entertainment announced their partnership with Caffeine to bring the AniDom Beyond Show, a recap show hosted by Andy Richter.[4]

Fox Entertainment also will develop scripted and unscripted projects through its Sidecar brand, identifying and incubating programming for both Fox’s broadcast network and third-party platforms. Fox Entertainment will retain ownership of all series that originate under the banner, to which the Fox Corporation will own rights to.[5]
