Gercüş
Gercüş (Kurdish: Kercews,[3] Syriac: "ܟܦܪ ܓܘ̈ܙܐ" "Kfar Gawze"[4] or "ܟܦܪ ܓܘܣܢ" "Kfar Gawson") is a district of Batman Province, Turkey. The mayor is Abdulkerim Kaya (BDP).

The town of Gercus is said to be built by a wealthy Roman soldier named "Gawson" who named the village after him.[5]
