Giorgi Makaridze
Giorgi Makaridze (Georgian: გიორგი მაკარიძე, romanized: giorgi mak'aridze, pronounced [ɡiɔrgi mɑkʼɑrid͡zɛ]; born 31 March 1990) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper, currently for UD Almería in the Segunda División and the Georgia national team. He previously played for Dinamo Tbilisi, Le Mans, Doxa Katokopia, Feirense, Moreirense and F.C Rio Ave.

Career
Born in Tbilisi, Makaridze began his career in the youth from Dinamo Tbilisi and moved on 10 January 2009 for €800,000 to Le Mans UC72 who signed a four-year contract with a fee from €85,000.[1]
In April 2014, he moved to Doxa Katokopia.,[2][3] but has not played a game and he moved to Portugal. In Portugal Makaridze became member of Feirense, which was in Segunda Division Portugal and played 54 games. After promoted in Liga Nos, Makaridze joined Moreirense and played 33 games there. With Moreirense he won Taça da Liga (Portuguese League Cup) 2017 Taça da Liga Final. In 2018 there was a rumor that Makaridze will join to Benfica, but this transfer could not happened and he became member of Rio Ave. By mutual agreement he stopped the contract with the team and in January 2019 Makaridze joined Vitoria FC. He has contract until the June 2021.
On 12 September 2020, Makaridze signed a two-year contract with Segunda División side UD Almería.[4]
International
Giorgi Makaridze was a member of Georgia U17 team and played 10 games there. He also participated in Georgia U19 (played 8 games) and Georgia U21 (played 9 games). At age of 17, Makaridze established himself as a great prospect and starter for the Georgia national football team along with other teenagers such as Levan Kenia and Levan Mchedlidze.[5] Currently he has played 14 games in Georgian National Football Team.
