Giovanni González
Giovanni Alessandro González Apud (born 20 September 1994) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a defender for Peñarol and the Uruguay national team. He's the son of former player Juan González.[1]

Club career
González began his career in 2014 with CA River Plate (URU). In 2018, he moved to CA Peñarol.[2]
International career
He was called for the Uruguay national team for the first time on 2 March 2019 in the preliminary list for the 2019 China Cup.[3] He made his debut for the squad on 22 March 2019 in the China Cup semifinal against Uzbekistan, as a 61st-minute substitute for Diego Laxalt.[4]
