Grace Moloney

Grace Moloney (born 1 March 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Republic of Ireland national team[4] and FA WSL club Reading.[5][6]

In 2010 aged 15, she was called up to the Republic of Ireland women's national football team under 15's, later playing for the under 17s and under 19's squads.[7]

In June 2016 she joined Aston Villa on loan.[8][9][10]

Personal life

She is a life-long fan of Queens Park Rangers (her family team), a team she moved to from Reading during her youth career, later moving back due to the facilities available to allow her to pursue her sport at an international level.[11] Her father Bill normally travels with her.[7]

In April 2019 Moloney signed a new contract with Reading. She had established herself as the first choice goalkeeper and helped the club reach the FA Women's Cup semi-final, which they lost to West Ham United on a penalty shootout.[12]
