Gus Miller
W. A. "Gus" Miller was an American football and basketball coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at West Texas State Teachers College—now known as West Texas A&M University—from 1942 to 1946, compiling a record of 16–15. Miller was also the head basketball coach at West Texas State from 1942 to 1957, talking a mark of 197–137. His basketball teams won three Border Conference championships and made an appearance in the 1955 NCAA Basketball Tournament.[1]

Notes
- Miller resigned after the first seven games of the 1946 season. Windy Nicklaus replaced Miller as head coach and led West Texas State to a record of 2–1 over the final three games of the season. The team finished 5–5 overall and 4–5 in Border Conference play, placing fifth.
