Heaven Sent (Keyshia Cole song)
Heaven Sent is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole. It is the fourth and final single from Cole's second album Just Like You. This ballad was written by Alex Francis, Jason Farmer and Cole. "Heaven Sent" was the third No. 1 for Cole on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song's video was shot in Hawaii and is based on the "Footprints" poem. The Leona Lewis song "Footprints In The Sand" is based on the same piece. The song earned Cole two Grammy nominations for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song.

The music video premiered on March 27, 2008, on Yahoo! Music and BET's Access Granted.[1] The video peaked at number 1 on May 8, 2008, on BET's 106 & Park.[1] The video was directed by Benny Boom with scenes shot in Oahu, Hawaii. It features Cole singing alone on a beach and in a jungle by a waterfall. Also seen are panoramic shots of a farm with horses and a barn.
Chart performance
"Heaven Sent" is Keyshia Cole's third number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs from Just Like You. It peaked at number one for nine consecutive weeks. It charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart for 55 weeks. On the Billboard Hot 100, it has peaked at number 28.
Use in popular culture
This song was used at the beginning and the end of the episode "Fool Me Twice... I'm The Damn Fool" of The Game on October 29, 2007. A lyric from the chorus of "Heaven Sent" is quoted in the Paula Chase-written book Flipping the Script at the beginning of the Psychic Flashes fifteenth chapter.[2]
