It was known as Queens Park Rangers Ladies Football Club from the merger until a name change in June 2018 to Queens Park Rangers Women Football Club.

The club ceased its affiliation to Queens Park Rangers F.C. in the summer of 2019 after QPR's Charity Foundation wanted to hold the manager accountable for performances, amid concerns of funding being misused with the team only managing 6 league wins in 3 years, but could not be sacked as he registered the club in his name.

Subsequently Martino Chevannes renamed the club to Hounslow Women. Which left QPR Women FC having to restart from there development squad (QPR Girls)
