Ivondro River
The Ivondro River is a river located in central Madagascar. It drains to the eastern coast, into the Indian Ocean.[1] The river is about 150 km (93 mi) long and its drainage basin extends to about 3,513 km2 (1,356 sq mi).[2] It flows through the town of Didy. The Volobe hydro-electric scheme was created in 1931 on the Ivondro River to provide power for Toamasina.[3]
