Jack Spellman

John Franklin "Jack" Spellman (June 14, 1899 August 1, 1966) was an American wrestler and olympic champion. He competed at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, where he won a gold medal in freestyle light heavyweight. After college, Spellman became a professional wrestler and football player.[1][2] Spellman played American football as a right end for the Providence Steam Roller and Boston Braves from 1925 to 1932.[3][4]
