Juliet as a Young Girl
Juliet as a Young Girl,[lower-alpha 1] (Russian: Джульетта как молодая девушка), is a work of classical music written by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. The piece is the second one in the Suite No. 2 from Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64ter, which consists of two parts from his 1935 ballet Romeo and Juliet. He wrote versions for both orchestra and piano.
Origin of nickname
Sometimes, the work is nicknamed in Italian language as Giulietta come una Ragazza. When the piece was played in Russia, around the 1980, besides the Russian name, Italian name was also shown, perhaps from the Italian origin of the two families.
