The song was performed sixteenth (last) on the night, following Portugal's Simone de Oliveira with "Desfolhada portuguesa". At the close of voting, it had received 6 points, placing 12th in a field of 16.
The song is a love duet, with the singers declaring that seeing each other reminds them of "those times" when life was good.
The song was also covered by Finnish singer Tarja-Maria Suhonen. An Estonian version, titled Nii kui enne with lyrics by Heldur Karmo, was sung by Kalmer Tennosaar.
It was succeeded as Finnish representative at the 1971 contest (Finland having been one of the countries to opt out of the 1970 contest due to the unusual result with four winners in 1969) by Markku Aro & Koivistolaiset with "Tie uuteen päivään".
