La Toilette (Bazille)
La Toilette is an 1869-1870 painting by Frédéric Bazille, which has been in the Musée Fabre in Montpellier since 1968. He produced it a few months before his death in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870.

The main subject of the painting was posed by Lise Tréhot, a Paris model who worked for Bazille's fellow artist and friend Renoir on many occasions. At the time the painting was executed Bazille and Renoir shared a Paris studio in rue de la Condamine. [1]
In an unfinished condition the work can be seen on the wall of Bazille's studio in his 1870 painting Studio in Rue de La Condamine.
