Lexmond

Lexmond is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 7 km south of IJsselstein.

In 2001, the town of Lexmond had 1296 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.24 kmĀ², and contained 518 residences.[1] The statistical area "Lexmond", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1780.[2]

Lexmond was a separate municipality in the province of South Holland until 1986, when it became part of Zederik.[3] When Zederik merged into the new municipality Vijfheerenlanden in 2019, it became a part of the province of Utrecht.[4]
