List of college athletic programs in South Carolina
This is a list of college athletics programs in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
NCAA
Division I
- Presbyterian's football team competes as an independent and joins the Pioneer Football League in 2021–22.
- South Carolina's men's soccer team competes in Conference USA.
- South Carolina State's women's soccer team competes as an independent.
Division II
- As of the 2020–21 academic year, Allen is in the first year of a three-year transition to Division II and will become an active member in 2023–24. Allen's women's soccer team competes as an independent.
- Anderson announced the addition of a football team, with plans to begin play in 2024–25. No conference affiliation has been announced yet.
- Claflin's baseball team competes in the Peach Belt Conference.
- Converse's men's basketball and soccer teams will begin play in 2021–22. The men's nickname has yet to be chosen.
- Erskine's football team has yet to announce its conference affiliation.
- Francis Marion will move to Conference Carolinas beginning in the 2021-22 season.
- North Greenville's football team competes in the Gulf South Conference.
