Lockers Park School

Lockers Park School is a day and boarding preparatory school for boys and co-educational pre-preparatory school, situated in 23 acres of countryside in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Its current headmaster is Christopher Wilson.

History

Lockers Park was founded in 1874 by Henry Montagu Draper,[3] an alumnus of Rugby School.[4] It is built on 23 acres (93,000 m²) of parkland surrounding a significant Georgian house, called The Lockers,[5] which still exists as apartments and was the home of the Collett family.[6] The new school was designed by Sidney Scott and it has its own chapel which dates from the same era.[7]

In the 1940s and 1950s, the veteran England all-round cricketer Frank Woolley (1887–1978) was the school's cricket coach.[8]
