MV Blue Star
MV Blue Star is a bulk carrier. It was hijacked by Somali pirates in January 2009, while carrying a cargo of 6,000 tons of fertilizer.[1] The ship was released with all of its crew on March 5 after a one million dollar ransom was rumored to have been paid.[2]
