History
Make It with You was aired on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida evening block every weeknights at 8:30pm from January 13 to March 13, 2020 for a total of 45 episodes.[2] Due to the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, the drama was put on halt and was replaced by reruns of On the Wings of Love beginning March 16, 2020.[3]
However, the future of Make It with You has put in doubt after ABS-CBN ceased its free-to-air broadcast operations on May 5, 2020,[4] due to the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida.[5]
Cancellation
On June 4, 2020, Liza Soberano's manager Ogie Diaz announced that Make It with You has been permanently cancelled.[6] Director Theodore Boborol stated his understanding on the network management's difficult decision to discontinue the production for the series: "ABS-CBN was already badly hit by the pandemic, and then suffered a double blow when its renewal was not granted."[7] Make It with You was not included in the upcoming line-up of programs for the launch of Kapamilya Channel via pay cable and satellite. On June 9, 2020, Soberano herself confirmed the news of cancellation through her official Instagram account, citing health concerns over her history of weak immune system that would put her at risk to COVID-19.[8]
