Managing the Details of an Undertaking
Managing the Details of an Undertaking is a compilation CD and DVD package by the San Diego, California rock band Counterfit, released in 2007 by One Bad Landing Records. It was a posthumous release, as the group had disbanded in 2004. The CD portion of the release compiles rare, unreleased, and out-of-print songs from the band's career. The DVD portion includes a 76-minute documentary film of Counterfit's final tour from July 23 to September 15, 2004 in support of Finch and Recover. It also includes their entire farewell show, the music video for "Better Late Than Never," band commentary, and over 40 minutes of additional live footage. The package's title is taken from the title of a song from the band's only full-length album Super Amusement Machine for Your Exciting Heart.

DVD content information
- The 76-minute documentary of the band's final tour is entitled Managing the Details and includes live footage from over 40 performances between July 23 and September 15, 2004. PJ de Villiers served as the Director of Photography and made the illustrations for the packaging and menus. Counterfit drummer Marc Allen edited the video and sound and designed the DVD menus. Live sound engineer John Tsamis recorded all of the performances directly from the mixing board, while Josh Vargo performed additional audio mastering. A portion of the documentary was recorded at the Rolling Rock Town Fair in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and includes photography by Lili Doleh and Joey Santer, and a radio interview with Marc Allen conducted by Mike Lindsey for "The Scoop" on radio station 99.7 The Blitz. This portion documents an onstage fight that took place between members of Finch and Disturbed during Finch's set.
