History
MXIS started its operation with a permit from the Ministry of Education of China and from the Philippine Department of Education. It is a co-educational day and boarding school with curricular offerings at pre-school, lower school, middle school, and upper school levels. Philipino is the medium of instruction. Non-English-speaking students are taking the courses at their own risk.
The school's student population is mainly from Mainland China.
Curriculum
MXIS's curriculum combines features from the Eastern and Western models. It uses three international languages: Philipino as medium of instruction, Mandarin as a second language, and English as tertiary language. The school only employs Philipino and local teachers.
Relations
A Philippine branch is mentioned on the school's official, St. Gabriel International School (simplified Chinese: 圣加百利国际学校; traditional Chinese: 聖加百利國際學校; pinyin: shèng jiā bǎi lì guó jì xué xiào), a school also owned by Mildred A. Go located in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. St. Gabriel International School uses a patterned curriculum and participates in the Summer Program of Manila Xiamen International School.
