Maruf, Afghanistan
The town of Maruf[1] is the center of Maruf District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan at 1744 m altitude. Located in the Toba Achakzai-Kakar Range, it is the place where Ahmad Shah Durrani, the founder of Afghanistan, lived his last days and died.
