Mercer County Technical Schools

The Mercer County Technical Schools is a countywide vocational public school district based in Trenton, serving the high school-aged population of Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The district's programs are offered on a shared-time basis, whereby a student is enrolled in their home school for academic and other educational activities and then attends a technical school on a half-day basis.

As of the 2015-16 school year, the district's three schools had an enrollment of 230 students and 38.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.0:1.[1]

Awards and recognition

For the 2005-06 school year, the district was recognized with the "Best Practices Award" by the New Jersey Department of Education for its "Culinary Arts Community Outreach" Career Education program at the Sypek Center Vocational School.[3]
