Michał Bąkiewicz
Michał Bogusław Bąkiewicz (born 22 March 1981) is a Polish volleyball coach and former volleyball player, member of the Poland men's national volleyball team in 2001–2011, participant of the Olympic Games Athens 2004, 2009 European Champion, silver medallist of the 2006 World Championship, four–time Polish Champion.

Clubs
After six season in PGE Skra Bełchatów he moved to AZS Częstochowa.[1] In 2014 he ended his career, the contract between AZS Częstochowa and the player has been resolved by mutual agreement. In 2014 he came back to play in AZS Częstochowa. In the 2014/2015 season he did not play in any match of AZS Częstochowa. On December 3, 2014 he ended his sporting career. He has a coaching license and joined to the coaching staff of AZS Częstochowa.[2]
National team
Bąkiewicz was a member of the national Polish team that won the silver medal in the World Championship 2006. He won a title of the European Champion 2009.[3] On September 14, 2009 he was awarded Knight's Cross of Polonia Restituta.[4] In 2011 won a first in history medal for Poland of World League after winning match with Argentina.[5]
