Miroslav Stevanović

Miroslav Stevanović (Bosnian pronunciation: [mǐroslaʋ steʋǎːnoʋitɕ]; born 29 July 1990) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Swiss Super League club Servette and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Stevanović started his professional career at Vojvodina, who loaned him to Palić in 2009 and to Borac Banja Luka in 2010. In 2013, he was transferred to Sevilla, who loaned him to Elche later that year and to Alavés a year later. In 2014, he signed with Győr. The following year, Stevanović switched to Ergotelis. A year later, he joined Željezničar. In 2017, he moved to Servette.

A former youth international for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stevanović made his senior international debut in 2012, earning 13 caps since.

Club career

Early career

Stevanović came through Vojvodina's youth academy, which he joined in the summer of 2008 from his hometown club Drina Zvornik.[2] In January 2009, he was sent on six-month loan to Palić, with whom he made his professional debut and scored his first professional goal.[3] In January 2010, he was loaned to Bosnian club Borac Banja Luka until the end of season.[4]

On 2 January 2013, Stevanović was transferred to Spanish side Sevilla for an undisclosed fee.[5] On 5 July 2013, he was sent on a season-long loan to Elche.[6] In January 2014, he was loaned to Alavés for the remainder of season.[7]

In December 2014, Stevanović joined Hungarian club Győr on a contract until June 2018.[8]

In September 2015, he signed a one-year contract with Greek outfit Ergotelis.[9]

Željezničar

On 26 January 2016, Stevanović moved to Bosnian team Željezničar on a two-year contract.[10] A month later, he made his competitive debut for the club against Široki Brijeg.[11] On 16 March, he scored his first goal for Željezničar in a cup game against Borac Banja Luka.[12] Three weeks later, Stevanović scored his first league goal for the team.[13]

In January 2017, it was announced that Stevanović would leave Željezničar at the end of season, following the decision not to renew his contract.[14]

On 2 June 2017, he was voted league's best player for the past season.[15]

Servette

In July 2017, Stevanović signed a three-year deal with Swiss club Servette.[16] He made his official debut for the club on 4 August against Rapperswil-Jona.[17] On 10 September, he scored his first goal for Servette.[18]

On 29 January 2019, Stevanović was named Swiss Challenge League Player of the Year for 2018.[19]

Stevanović was instrumental in Servette's conquest of league title, his first trophy with the club, which was sealed on 10 May 2019 and earned them promotion to Swiss Super League. He had an impact of 11 goals and 14 assists.[20]

On 25 May, he extended his contract until June 2022.[21]

Stevanović played his 100th game for the team against Basel on 19 July 2020.[22]

International career

Stevanović represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on all youth levels.[23]

In May 2012, he received his first senior call-up, for friendly games against Republic of Ireland and Mexico.[24] Stevanović debuted in a defeat to former on 26 May.[25]

On 15 August, in a friendly game against Wales, Stevanović scored his first senior international goal.[26]
