Nijland
Nijland (West Frisian: Nijlân) is a village in Súdwest-Fryslân municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,000 in January 2017.[1]

The coat of arms depicts a pair of oxen linked by a chain, because according to legend a pair of oxen determined the location of the church, and so the village.
History
Before 2011, the village was part of the Wymbritseradiel municipality.
