Nimali Liyanarachchi
Nimali Waliwarsha Konda Liyanarachchi (born 19 September 1989) is a Sri Lankan 800 m runner.[3] She has won gold medals at the 2016 Asian Games and 2017 Asian Championships, placing third in 2015 and fourth in 2013. Nimali holds the Sri Lankan national record in the 800 m event.[5] At the 2017 Asian Championships she finished second, but the winning athlete was disqualified after Liyanarachchi argued that she had been unfairly jostled in the sprint for the line.[6]
