Patriotic Union (Chile)
Patriotic Union (Spanish: Unión Patriótica, UPA) is a Chilean political party. It was founded in September 2015 and is led by Eduardo Artés, first secretary of the Chilean Communist Party (Proletarian Action).[2]

Legally registered in 2016, it first appeared in the municipal elections of that year. The party obtained 0.32% of the total votes but no candidates were elected to any council.[3]
It was declared as an anti-imperialist party, progressive, patriotic and populism.[4] Its leader has expressed sympathy with the regime of socialist-juche ideology of North Korea and for the government of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela.[5][6]
For the 2017 elections, the party proclaimed Artés as its presidential candidate.[7]
