Pszczółki, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Pszczółki [ˈpʂt͡ʂuu̯ki] (German: Hohenstein) is a village in Gdańsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Pszczółki.[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of Pruszcz Gdański and 22 km (14 mi) south of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the historic region of Pomerania.

History

Sacred Heart church

The oldest known mention of the village comes from 1307 under the name Psolcicz.[2] Pszczółki was a royal village of the Polish Crown, administratively located in the Tczew County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[3]
