Quercus germana
Quercus germana, the Mexican royal oak, is a species of oak tree in the family Fagaceae. As with other white oaks (subgenus Quercus, section Quercus) its acorns mature in a single season. Q. galeottii Mart. & Gal. and Q. substenorcarpa Trel. are considered to be synonyms by Susana Valencia-Avalos (2004).

Description
The tree is endemic to eastern and northeastern Mexico, in the states (north to south) of Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, and Oaxaca.
It grows in cloud forest habitats, at elevations of 800–1,800 metres (2,600–5,900 ft).
Quercus germana can reach 25 metres (82 ft) in height.

It is an IUCN Red List least concern species, threatened by habitat loss.
